Pau Viguer

The Jazz group PAU VIGUER TRIO is a clear representative of what has been called "Mediterranean jazz". Pau Viguer (piano), Xuso Barbera (double bass) and Felipe Cucciardi (drums), with occasional contributions of singer Cristina Blasco and tenor sax Borja Baixauli.

Pau Viguer Trío has released 4 albums so far: Paseo por la vida (Millenia, 2008), Arena (Comboi, 2011), Implosion (Millenia, 2013) and Muy delicado (Picap, 2017). Their music is influenced by various styles such as jazz, classical, pop, blues, flamenco, etc. In fact, the blending of different musical backgrounds is a clear objective to the group. They also prioritize their own compositions and have already sold more than 3,000 copies of their own albums in their concerts. Their records are present on all digital platforms, with thousands of visits to their videos. Their last release, Muy delicado (Picap, 2017), has been distributed in Spain physically and digitally internationally. The group presented it live in 2017 after being chosen in the festival JazzEñe organized by the SGAE for international promoters. Muy delicado has hit number 1 in Spanish jazz charts on the USA webpage number1music.com.
